Meet the Deckers

Meet the Deckers
We are a blessed family! It started out 3 years ago with the addition of Memphis, our crazy Labradoodle. Then, we added Jules in January 2010. Next, our little man made his appearance in May 2011. What fun times are ahead for us!

The Decker Christmas

Michael's parents came the Friday after Christmas.  They brought presents - a band!  I wish I could post the video of the jam session - it is awesome!

Christmas 2013

We had another great Christmas!  We packed in a ton of things into just a few days but tried to have a lot of fun and rest too!

The kids had a program at BUMC where they sang a Christmas song with their class but Shook cried the whole time and we could barely see Jules over the 6' 5" tall guy that kneeled down in front of us....

Doesn't think look like that Samsung commercial!

We made Blessing Bags!

Saw Frozen for the second time (and she begs to see it more)!

And, had school parties!

In Jules' class everyone brought a wrapped book and did a round table swap.  It was funny watching the teacher try to explain this to the kids!

They had Santa at school that day too.  We saw him first, of course!  And, then had to go back later with Shook.  This is about the time that Jules changed her Christmas request to a microphone!  I thought --- Santa doesn't have too much time to get that one!

'

Michael and I even got to go on a date!  My mom and Granny came for Christmas so they kept the kids while we went to The Franklin Theatre.  It was a great show!

Then, we just hung out a bit - making cookies for Santa and gingerbread houses.

Monday we went to see the Rockettes.  It was a good but by intermission, the kids were over it.

They had fruity pebble popcorn which made the kids super silly!

When we got home, we gave Honey one of her Christmas presents because she was going to go buy herself one!

Shook really got into it!

She loved her Vera Bradley bag and plans to use it for our Disney trip!

Of course the kids had to open something after that so they got to open their presents from each other - which is another story altogether!

Shook "picked out" Anna from Frozen (Jules did tell him EXACTLY what she wanted) and an Anna doll.

Shook loves his new cars and trucks!

So much so that he had to sleep with them!

And, give them a car wash.

In our spare time, we also dressed up Granny as a Princess!

We had our special Christmas Eve family dinner.

And made Banana Pudding cake for Jesus' birthday!

We got to open a present Christmas Eve night too! - from Honey and one from mom and dad.

We put out food for the reindeer.

And, put Santa's cookies by the fireplace.

Ooops!  5 second rule!

Well, forget Santa, I'm hungry! -- He sat down and started eating it!

Santa came and left all kinds of stuff!

Here is where they went first thing!

She loves this microphone and is so glad Santa could get it made in time!

They are very excited about sharing their car.

The wrapped gifts were from mom and dad and let me tell you, this was the best one and what Christmas is all about for parents.  He was so excited to get this present.

He immediately laid on top of it and said it was his new best friend!

She loves Lambie too!  She said one night that Lambie was her favorite stuff animal ever!

He still won't leave the Clubhouse!

Granny got her tickle box turned on about something!

We saved the final gift for after breakfast!

A box filled with tons of Disney stuff ---A trip to Disney World and we are counting down the days!  As of right now, 1 more day left until we get on the airplane!  So far they have asked everyday when we are getting on the airplane so we got out the countdown rings I made!  We are too excited!

She is going to be stylin' in the parks!

Then, we got to take the truck for a real spin!

It was really a great Holiday!  And, there were more presents to come and a trip to Disney - who could ask for more!
