Pumpkin Princess!
I thought this pig hay bails were too cute!
There was no hay ride but this little ride was a lot of fun!
And Shook actually rode the pony without crying...at least for a few minutes!
They got confused in the hay maze!
And, Shook actually brushed the goats and went inside the animal fence. Small strides!
There were lots of fun games for them.
But, they loved this slide the best! They sprinted up this hill probably 40 times. They wouldn't even stop for a drink and their little faces were bright red!
I really wanted a picture of them in the "pumpkin patch" but Shook was just too worn out! But, how cute is this one!
We've heard Gentry Farms here is a good Pumpkin Patch too so I'm sure we will make it there before October is over.
Then, we went to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday for lunch. It was pretty much how I remember it with my nephew on this Chuck E Cheese had less kids and was cleaner than the ones we used to go to in Memphis, which was nice. And, I think we only lost 3 tokens to broken machines which, if I remember correctly, used to be a ton more! I don't really think it lived up to Jules' dreams but she had fun. She was saying, "I wanna go to Chuck E Cheese, a proud sponsor of Disney Junior!" That's when you know you are doing a great job of parenting!
Monday I got their school pictures back. They do them here with a real local photographer but the package prices are outrageously priced. So, I got the basic which does not include any digital files so these are all pictures of pictures but it was pretty funny because the photographer himself actually checked me out and he was like, "Oh, yeah, I hope that the scarf was properly placed for you." So, I start looking at them and I'm like, "Yeah, that is a belt!" It was pretty funny - he says Jules had them convinced it was a scarf and they spent FOREVER trying to get it just right! I don't know but seems we can never get the 'normal' school picture --- it's going to make for some good stories in the future!
I actually love this picture. Its the first one I have of both of them smiling and looking together without some prop that they are playing with. But, I couldn't find Shook's nice sandals that morning and I thought, oh well, they never take full-length pictures but of course they do this time! OH well!
This is probably my favorite picture in the package. I don't know what it is but she always takes great pictures. Shook had a cute one too but it is REALLY close up and the one of him length wise he is not smiling and he has on his Keens that I sent him to school with so it looks silly.

This picture actually freaks me out because she looks JUST like me in one of my pictures when I was younger. My hair was blonder but man, its freaky! Plus, the close-up 'scarf' is hilarious! I do wonder how long they spent getting that just right!
I've been meaning to write about Shook and his talking and progress. He is really getting to that age where he is so much fun. He can say pretty much anything now but his favorites are - eat, more donuts, more cereal, bread, capri sun, more apple juice, I wanna snack, you catch my drift. If its a food word, he has got it down. He is growing a lot too - even since those pictures. He ate 5 bowls of cereal at one time last week! You can see my future... We had to get him all new winter clothes and he LOVES this shirt. He asked to wear it as soon as he saw it and he wore it to sleep in and to school the next day. He asks to wear it everyday almost.
He was much better at clothes than Jules - he actually WANTED to try them all on!
He also wants to do EVERYTHING Jules does---including getting his fingernails painted. He begged and begged so I did it! He picked out orange and blue (he knows all his colors! and shapes, according to his teachers!)
And, he actually sat in a chair and let someone cut his hair this weekend without me having to hold him down - improvements!
He lined up all these waters and said, "How many are there?"
And, then started counting....(though he did not count them correctly, it was still the thought!)
Don't worry, Jules came to the rescue and counted them for him!
He is just so cute and I love this age!
