Meet the Deckers

Meet the Deckers
We are a blessed family! It started out 3 years ago with the addition of Memphis, our crazy Labradoodle. Then, we added Jules in January 2010. Next, our little man made his appearance in May 2011. What fun times are ahead for us!

Disney Trip - Day 5

Hollywood Studios!  I thought Jules & Shook would love this day!  We were there from sun up to sun down then too and it was starting to get chilly again.  We saw Sofia the First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, etc. ALL the Disney Junior people.  Jules & Shook were okay excited (Shook wouldn't take a picture with any of them - even Jake) but not as much as I had thought they would be and Michael and I were disappointed.  You know, we have our Disney Junior characters we love too and they were just a little off to me.  Then, Shook only got to see the Lightning McQueen car for about 1 minute before they rushed us on so that was disappointing since that is his favorite.

It started out a warm day.

This is us waiting for lunch at Hollywood & Vine.  Not my favorite character meal and not my favorite time to eat a character meal.  I had to ask the waiter and the characters to come to our table.  Michael says it was infamous because I chased a character down and made her come back to our table because she literally stood there, waved her hand and then walked off.  Jules couldn't even get out of her seat.  I was over it after waiting what seemed like an hour outside even though we had reservations and then we were done eating before a character even came over and our waiter had to go get them!  And, then to just walk off - I think not!

I mean, I love Sofia but she looks scary here - Disney needs to do a better job with that!  Jules still loved her so I guess its okay.

BREAKDOWN!

These hats gave us much entertainment!

And, then, frigid cold again.  So, we headed out to Downtown Disney.

LEGOLAND!  We picked up some Jake legos.

We had dinner reservations down there but both my kids were going crazy and, again, we had to wait forever despite our reservations.  I tried to smile like this while we were there but inside, I was not smiling - I really wanted to hurt someone!

It was bedtime after that meal!  Only two days left - we were hoping they would be better than Day 5!  Looking back, it wasn't that bad but when you are dealing with mobs of people, and its super cold, and your kids are super tired and people are making you wait longer than you should have to, it makes the present time pretty miserable.

Disney Trip - Day 4

It was time for a girls day at Bibbidi Bobbity Boutique and Cinderella's Royal Table.  I had a great time and I think Jules had the best time ever!  It was a really good experience!

Cookie and presents!  She and Shook got gift cards from Honey as their Christmas presents so that they could pick out whatever they wanted while they were at Disney.  And, surprisingly, they had money left!

Pixie Dust!

I got a little mixed up and thought the reservation was at 9 but it was 10 so we had to play around a little before we could go in.

Before picture!

She really was happy, she just doesn't particularly like getting her hair done.  This is why I have been wanting to get it cut but others in our family have a different opinion!

Cheyenne doesn't mind getting her hair done at all!

She got her nails done too.  They do pink or blue and she wanted one hand of each.  Her poor fairy godmother in training looked like she had never heard of such and had to ask me if it was okay!

Getting ready for the big reveal!

Afterward we went over and got their pictures made.  Jules thought this was the greatest thing ever and the pictures are so cute!  She had us cracking up!

We saw Cinderella's step mother and sisters and the Fairy Godmother.

Then, it was time for lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Honey got Bippity Boppidied!

They brought Jules a special treat since it was her birthday month.

After lunch, we went home to nap.  As you might can tell from the attire, it was hotter that day.  Michael and Shook were worn out because they had rode the train and it had broken down.  Michael had to carry Shook all the way back to the stroller!  It was time for a nap!

Then, we came out later for treats, the Electrical Parade and the Nighttime Wishes show.  There were mobs of people out then but we got good seats for the parade but bad seats for the wishes show!

These Mickey rice krispies at the confectionary were good!

Glow in the dark spinners were a must!

Her Princess hair came down as soon as we got to the room and you can probably tell how much gel it had in it...I think she still has glitter on her scalp.

The parade was great. These little things moved from one side to the other by themselves and, in true fashion, freaked Shook out beyond control!

Jules watched and loved the pre-fireworks show on the castle but once the fireworks came out, she was out of control - think Shook-like!  Michael had to leave the park and go back to the room with her because she thought the moon was broken!  Shook loved it.  You know, it would be too much for them both to like the same thing every now and then!

All in all, it was a great day.  One of the best for me!
